SENIOR ACCOUNTANT 4 days in office, Midtown REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY and PUBLIC ACCOUNTING experience necessary CPA or in progress also a must have YARDI experience a plus Benefits paid for 100% Responsibilities: Assisting in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budget, period-end adjustments, accruals and account analyses, Preparing bank statement reconciliations Assisting with the implementation of our accounting system with 3rd party property managers for acquired properties Reviewing investor reports on a monthly and quarterly basis including detailed variance reports provided by the 3rd party property managers Performing lease analysis and net rent calculations Direct and support 3rd party property managers on financial and accounting matters Preparation of support for the company's income and property tax returns Preparation of governmental reports and TC 201 reporting Maintaining and assisting with Sarbanes Oxley requirements Prepare supporting schedules and communicate with external auditors on a quarterly basis Supporting property-specific joint venture and construction audits Staying abreast of new accounting pronouncements and industry Prerequisites: BA/BS in Accounting, CPA required 3-5 years of experience in accounting Real Estate and Public accounting experience plus compensation commensurate with experience Company paid full benefits package Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
