Description

    Assisting in implementing and managing software and hardware solutions
  • Performing software installations and upgrades
  • Performing daily application maintenance, including application, monitoring, response to alarms, and scheduling/creating/verifying of system backups in accordance with policy
  • Assisting in evaluation of vendor products in hardware, software, and other equipment for IT modernization
  • Under direct supervision, performing installations and upgrades, conducting day-to-day operational maintenance/backups, and providing support for applications, such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, and Symantec Enterprise Vault
  • Maintaining operating systems, virtual machines, physical servers, and NetApp storage systems for these applications
  • Being available after hours as required

Requirements

  • A minimum of a two-year technical degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to apply craft, vocational, or administrative skills and methods taught in specialized training and/ or learned through formal apprenticeships
  • A fundamental level of proficiency to do entry-level work
  • Security+ certification is required within 6 months of start date
  • Prior experience as a Windows Administrator or related system admin duties
  • Secret clearance required
