MTSI is currently seeking to hire a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support our infrastructure Information Technology team.
This role is 100% remote, requires USCitizenship and must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission:
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will design, implement, secure, and sustain the Development Platform that supports software delivery across cloud and on-prem environments. You will ensure the platform's security posture remains compliant with required standards, contribute to architecture and requirements decomposition, and support day-to-day development, testing, operations, and sustainment activities. This role requires frequent collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and the ability to operate independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities:
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IT processes for planning, execution, and reporting across DevSecOps, requirements management, architecture, integration, verification and validation, transition, configuration management, software engineering, cybersecurity, cloud services, multi-level security solutions, and the full Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Champion Agile development practices and modern DevSecOps workflows while providing technical guidance on best practices to team members and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for DevSecOps standards, processes, architectural designs, and other required technical artifacts.
  • Coordinate with technology vendors to evaluate features, discuss architectural needs, and ensure alignment with ecosystem requirements.
  • Support the design and definition of system architectures for new and existing solutions.
  • Assist in the implementation, expansion, configuration, compliance, security, operation, and maintenance of the technologies and tools that comprise the broader ecosystem.
  • Oversee and maintain the reliability, performance, and operational health of supported systems.
  • Manage and support CI/CD activities related to system infrastructure, pipelines, and associated tooling.
  • Ensure security principles and best practices are consistently applied across all processes.
  • Collaborate with Information Assurance and Cybersecurity SMEs to ensure required security controls are implemented and validated.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code artifacts for the cloud services that support the system.
Qualifications Required:
  • 5+ years of combined professional experience as a Network, Cloud, Security, Software, DevOps/DevSecOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Strong proficiency across multiple technical domains, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud services, software development, and cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Nexus, GitLab/GitLab CI, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, Grafana, Prometheus, Coder, and related configuration and administration.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across diverse environments and technology stacks.
  • Direct experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, with Azure Government experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience creating and managing Kubernetes resources (e.g., secrets, ingress, services, deployments, namespaces, and RBAC).
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise CI/CD pipelines, jobs, and reusable templates.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Buildah.
  • Experience with GitOps practices and tooling, including Helm, Kustomize, and Argo CD (or similar).
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Strong background administering multiple Linux distributions and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience managing server lifecycles, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Experience operating and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, underlying infrastructure, and associated platform tools.
  • Proficiency with at least one common programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, C++, Java, Go).
  • Familiarity with core networking concepts and services, including DNS, TLS certificates, load balancing, and related infrastructure components.
  • Experience working with security and compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53, CMMC, RMF, and SSDF.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Clearance Requirements:
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
