About the Job

About the Job:
This is a position for an entry level postdoctoral researcher to investigate the immune system in mouse models. The candidate is expected to be familiar with relevant experimental models, to conduct experiments that test specific hypotheses, and to be able to interpret their data and prepare it for presentation and publication.

Work Arrangement:
* The position is expected to work primarily on-site. Your work location will be in 2-260 WMBB.
* The Department retains the right to modify flexible work arrangement agreements on a temporary or permanent basis for any reason at any time.

Work Schedule: Normal business hours are expected, with an expectation that the timeline for some experiments will require work outside those hours.

Responsibilities:
* Design and execute experiments, utilizing cutting edge cellular and molecular immunology techniques (50% effort)
* Interpret data and assemble findings for presentation at local, national and international venues (20% effort)
* Write manuscripts on research findings for publication (15% effort)
* Develop applications for fellowship funding (10% effort)
* Promptly complete training and regulatory requirements for the position (5% effort)

All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
Required Qualifications:
* Recent completion of a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M, or equivalent) in the field of immunology.
* Research experience with isolation and characterization of mouse T lymphocytes (at least 3 years' experience).
* Recent publications demonstrating ability to complete research projects.
* Expertise in the following: flow cytometry, cell isolation from various mouse tissue, genetic manipulation of mouse lymphocytes (at least 3 years' experience);

Preferred Qualifications:
* Direct experience with preparation of immune cells for single-cell RNA sequencing and bioinformation analysis of results (at least 1 year experience).

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $62,232 - 75,564; depending on education/qualifications/experience
