Dental Assistant Leesburg, VA Pay From: $20 per hour MUST: Experienced Dental Assistant Must have 1 plus years of experience as a Dental Assistant Must have an active BLS Must have an active Virginia X-ray certification Oral surgery experience is highly preferred DUTIES: Dental Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' Assist with maintaining inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs Provides assistance to the oral surgeon and other providers within the division for a variety of treatment procedures. Assists in the outpatient clinic and operating room settings Obtains patient's medical history and takes vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse Helps patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment Provides patient education regarding treatments and post op care Develops and processes dental radiographs (x-rays), under supervision of licensed provider Obtains digital intra-oral impressions and when necessary alginates impressions under supervision of licensed provider Prepares and sterilizes instruments and equipment Performs other duties as assigned.
