As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact professionally with staff and visitors, and respond promptly to incidents. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
  • Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Maintain detailed records and write clear, concise reports regarding daily activities, observations, and/or incidents.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when required to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related threats or hazards, and communicate observations promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols regarding the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or possess an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
