As a Security Officer - Armed Shelter Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated shelter locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. You will conduct regular patrols, offer outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor the premises for suspicious behavior and report any concerns promptly in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
• Assist with access control and verify identification of individuals entering and exiting the location as required.
• Document observations and incidents clearly and accurately for record-keeping and follow-up purposes.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and location staff to support a secure environment.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance, adapting to changing conditions at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years combined law enforcement, military, or armed security-related experience.
• Must pass a Physcial Fitness Exam ( 1 mile run - 12 min / 22 sit ups / 12 push ups)
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and first aid training is preferred.
• Training in the use of handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
