Amsoil is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner.
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment. This role supports preventive and predictive maintenance programs, improves work
execution, and enhances overall equipment reliability. The Maintenance Planner acts as a liaison between maintenance, operations, and engineering teams.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop detailed job plans for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Create and manage weekly maintenance schedules based on priorities, resource availability, and production needs.
- Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
- Ensure all work orders are properly scoped, resourced, and documented.
CMMS Management:
- Maintain and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ensure accurate data entry for work orders, asset history, labor hours, and parts usage.
- Generate reports on maintenance performance, backlog, and compliance.
Materials & Resources Coordination:
- Identify and procure necessary tools, parts, and materials for scheduled work.
- Work with storeroom personnel to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance tasks.
Preventative & Predictive Maintenance:
- Develop and optimize PM routines based on equipment criticality and failure history.
- Monitor compliance and effectiveness of maintenance programs.
- Support reliability initiatives and root cause analysis efforts.
Documentation& Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance procedures, job plans, and equipment manuals.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Assist in audits and inspections by providing required documentation.
- Work With AMSOIL safety personnel to develop job specific JSAs for non-repetitive tasks and review existing JSAs for repetitive (PMs) tasks for accuracy.
- Assist in the documentation technical and regulated tasks and maintain detailed work instructions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Two year technical degree in Industrial Automation, Maintenance, or equivalent combination of related training and experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of related planning or Industrial Maintenance experience.
- Experience in a high volume production facility.
Certificates/Licenses Required:
- Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician (CMRT) or Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) License (preferred)
- OSHA 30 Training (preferred)
- NFPA 70E Training (preferred)
