Sinclair School of Nursing

Job Description

Join the University of Missouri's Sinclair School of Nursing and become part of our thriving community of educators, researchers, and healthcare professionals dedicated to shaping the future of nursing. We are committed to excellence in teaching, innovative research, and service that makes lasting impacts on students, future leaders, and communities.

We are seeking an advanced practice nurse to join our faculty. The primary responsibility of this position is teaching in the Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) program but may include other instructional activities in the master's and undergraduate programs. Providing student support through advising, mentoring doctoral projects, and active participation on both school and student nursing committees will be expected.

The Sinclair School of Nursing is dedicated to maximizing learning opportunities and experiences for our students. Our current assistant or associate teaching professor positions require in-person presence, with the amount of time spent onsite varying by teaching responsibilities. For those teaching graduate courses, the curriculum is predominantly online, allowing for some remote teaching hours; however, specific meetings, trainings, and events require faculty to be onsite. For any faculty teaching in traditional and accelerated programs, weekly on-campus lectures and/or clinical sessions are required.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in nursing is required.

Candidates will be evaluated on:
Certification in a nursing specialty
Experience in teaching didactic and clinical courses and advising graduate and/or undergraduate nursing students.
Ability for regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned responsibilities.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor applicants for this position for employment visas.

Application Materials

CV, Cover Letter, and a list of three (3) references

Application Deadline

Application review begins December 12, 2025, but applications are accepted until position is filled
