Job Summary

Tool and Die Supervisors will be key in overseeing the production operations related to tooling and dies. This role will be responsible for managing teams, ensuring efficient workflow, executing quality control measures, and providing technical guidance to troubleshoot and maintain tools and machinery.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

* Supervise and coordinate the activities of the tool and die team to ensure efficient and effective production processes

* Monitor the performance of the tool and die team and provide regular feedback on areas for improvement

* Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and quality of tool and die operations

* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in the tool and die production environment

* Collaborate with other departments to identify and troubleshoot tool and die issues

* Manage inventory levels of tools, dies, and related materials to ensure uninterrupted production

* Train and mentor new tool and die team members to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively

Qualifications:

* At least 5 years of experience in tool and die making

* Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of tool and die makers

* Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and experience with CNC machinery

* Experience in setting up and operating manual and automated tool and die equipment

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

* Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with tool and die equipment

* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineering and production teams

* Familiarity with safety regulations and ability to enforce safety protocols in the tool and die department

Knowledge & Experience
* Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution. Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline
* Typically has a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification and 3 years of prior relevant experience
