The Senior Associate General Counsel, Fuels Marketing Operations workflow lead will be responsible for supporting Fuels Marketing in the maintenance and growth of Global's retail and supply network through new business and renewals of commission agent leases, lessee dealers and motor fuel franchise agreements. This role will work under the direction of the Deputy General Counsel for Fuels Marketing and lead a team which includes in house counsel, paralegals and contract administrators.

"Gauges" of Responsibility

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of inhouse attorneys, paralegals and contract administrators.
  • Draft and review definitive Commission Agent Leases, Lessee Dealer, and Motor Fuel Franchise Agreements, including amendments, assignments and other agreements.
  • Help develop and implement company policies, procedures, and training on legal and compliance issues related to Fuels Marketing.
  • Oversee diligence process and coordinate new agreements and renewals with Fuels Marketing, accounting and credit departments.
  • Drive prompt transaction execution.
  • Provide legal advice and support to Fuels Marketing regarding compliance, transactional support and post-closing integration.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks, including those related to contracts and compliance with laws.

  • Member of the Bar in at least one state (preferably Massachusetts)

Pay Range:

$182,300.00 - $291,500.00

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
