Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:



  • Oversight of all Central Oregon dump truck drives. This includes orientation, coaching/training, providing direction, and personnel management
  • Responsible for activities including scheduling PTO and assigning resources and monitoring daily progress. This also includes coordinating with dispatchers
  • Monitor truck activity and support delivery drivers
  • Prepare and advise dispatch with operational reports for demand forecast, truck utilization, capacity, and other standard reports
  • Perform daily equipment walk around and job site inspections
  • Identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
  • Conduct weekly toolbox safety meetings
  • Identify appropriate material, quality products delivered per job specifications and communicate these needs to appropriate personnel
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, and written) in high stress situations
  • Strong self-motivated team player with good interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain positive relations with drivers and dispatch and act courteous/ respectful to others
  • Monitor plant/job site to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems with dispatch (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.
  • Accurately complete safety and other documentation as needed. Responsible for entire job safety program. This includes compliance and implementations of all company standards and any federal and state regulations as applicable
  • Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR safety and environmental regulation compliance
  • Maintain a safe work environment and foster safety culture, responsible for subcontractor safety compliance
  • Ensure good housekeeping skills and lockout/ tag out procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Experience in leadership
  • Strong communication skills
  • A valid commercial driver's license in good standing with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers
  • Must be a good communicator with all levels of organization
