Job Summary

The Corporate Relations Mgr will provide support to students in preparing for, identifying, and pursuing corporate job opportunities. Establish and maintain relations with corporate representatives, other Institute units, and alumni for purposes of promoting student recruiting and placement opportunities in internships, co-op positions, and regular employment. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: corporate executives and recruiters, hiring managers, students, alumni, staff, and faculty. This position typically will advise and counsel: students, corporate recruiters, and hiring managers. This position may supervise assigned staff

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Establish and maintain relationships with representatives of prospective corporate employers to promote recruiting of Institute students

Job Duty 2 -
Advise students on career search activities to include job search strategy and company targeting, resume preparation, interview techniques and practice and interactive one-on-one coaching sessions

Job Duty 3 -
Collaborate with other GT organizations and individuals such as alumni, faculty and development representatives to promote job networking and mentoring opportunities

Job Duty 4 -
Plan and coordinate job fairs and other promotional events aimed at student placement in corporate positions

Job Duty 5 -
Maintain databases utilized in promotional and placement efforts

Job Duty 6 -
May oversee and direct the work of assigned staff engaged with student placement and development efforts

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires skills in effectively interacting with corporate executives, alumni, faculty and staff for the purpose of promoting the recruitment of Institute students. Skills in career advising and counseling are required as are skills in relationship building, sales/marketing, communications and presentation.

Salary range: $63,303.00 - $89,091.00

Other Information

The position includes responsibility for teaching MGT 3599: Career Development Workshop each fall and spring semester. This is a required one-hour course requirement for all juniors pursuing a Business Administration degree and focuses on essential career readiness skills.
