Position Description






Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
The person in this position will deliver content in the core pharmacotherapeutics sequence (as needed), case-based courses, and pharmacy skills courses in the Pharm.D. curriculum. All clinical specialties will be considered and are encouraged to apply. However, preference will be given to the candidates with a PGY2 in ambulatory care/community practice setting or those who have completed an academic pharmacy fellowship. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to carry out scholarly activity leading to peer-review publications and service on departmental, school and university committees. A Pharm.D. with a PGY1 residency or equivalent practice experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with PGY2 or fellowship training. Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in California. If not licensed in California, licensure within one year of hire is expected.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in California
  • Pharm.D. with PGY1 residency or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PGY2 residency or fellowship training
  • Patient care experience in the ambulatory/community setting
  • Experience in research and/or scholarship
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work

Hiring Range $120,000 - $125,000 per year (We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.)
