JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Join our team and gain hands-on experience working with children ages 5-12 and their families in a supportive, collaborative environment!

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive supervision and training from experienced Centerstone staff
  • Engage with children, small groups, and families receiving mental and behavioral health services
  • Collect and manage client data
  • Observe and participate in case management activities
  • Conduct 1-3 parent meetings during the internship
  • Assist with program operations to ensure smooth delivery of services

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 20-40 hours per week
  • Mandatory program days may vary based upon student need but typically include: Tuesday and Thursday (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
  • Additional hours available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
  • Internship takes place in a school-based setting in Murfreesboro, TN

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a master's degree in professional counseling, social sciences, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
  • Interest in working with children and families
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong data management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to 20-40 hours per week

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Selected candidates will complete a background check and provide five (5) references as part of the onboarding process
  • This is an unpaid internship
