This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.

The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite.

This role is contributing to the ELDS division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

* Conducting and developing test protocols to ensure products, systems, or software meet specified requirements and customer expectations, including Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) as applicable.
* Leading quality control activities across supplier quality, production, testing, and engineering.
* Supporting the deployment of strategy and objectives for quality management within local ABB organizational unit.
* Executing and assisting the local organization with quality content, tools, and systems.

* Leads structured problem-solving initiatives using tools such as 8D, DMAIC, and FMEA.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field or 6 years of worked related experience

  • Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.

  • Availability to travel within the US for internal audits or customer visits is required.

  • Experience with customer complaint handling and supplier quality management.

  • Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality standards.

  • Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US.
