As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Center - Full Time in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a retail location. This driving and armed post involves engaging with the public, responding promptly to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your role will be crucial in creating a welcoming environment for everyone who visits the location.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide assistance as needed to clients, employees, and visitors.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation related to incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary, following established protocols and procedures.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
