Security Officer - Courthouse Screener

As a Security Officer - Government Screener in Joshua Tree, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and conducting x-ray screenings at a government location. Your visible presence and attention to detail will support a secure environment for all visitors and staff. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly, all while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Greet and screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to screening and access control.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and assisting visitors and staff as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter prohibited items or behaviors within the location.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location personnel to support security-related objectives.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to company and location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
