Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Airport Patrol Unarmed in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining clear communication to support a secure environment. You will also use your skills to assist visitors and staff, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and site requirements.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by answering questions and providing directions or information as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services when required by site protocols.
  • Complete detailed written reports and documentation of incidents, daily activities, and observations as required by the location.
  • Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as dictated by the site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
