As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener in New Castle, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include interacting with team members and visitors, utilizing technology to support screening processes, and providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the facility.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, and packages as required by site-specific procedures.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all observations, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
• Communicate promptly and clearly with team members, supervisors, and site personnel regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with access control and visitor management processes at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
