Sr. Go-to-Market Development Manager

San Mateo, CA / Hybrid

PlayStation is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and publisher-focused Go-To-Market (GTM) Development Manager to lead partner education and enablement initiatives supporting PlayStation's ambitions of being "The Best Place to Publish" at scale.

Reporting to the Director, Go-To-Marketing Strategy, this role is a functional expert in 3P Go-to-Market best practices at PlayStation. This will be a critical to support the 3P Go-to-Market team in ensuring game publishers understand and effectively utilize PlayStation's capabilities to maximize the discoverability, promotion, and commercial success of their titles across the PlayStation platform.

This role will also streamline collaboration with Global Marketing, Sales & Business Operations (GMSBO) by ensuring consistent communication and alignment on marketing specifics related to game partnerships, in close connection with Content Ventures & Strategic Initiatives (CVSI).

The ideal candidate is a cross-functional collaborator, a natural educator, and a compelling evangelist for PlayStation's GTM offerings - passionate about enabling partners through scalable and customized communications, best practices, and educational content.

Responsibilities:

Partner Enablement & Education



  • Develop and maintain educational content, playbooks, toolkits, and best practices that guide game publishers in leveraging PlayStation's GTM capabilities.
  • Create scalable partner-facing materials (presentations, documentation, videos, webinars) that reflect the latest GTM strategies and opportunities enabling them to successfully self-serve bringing their game to market
  • Regularly update internal and external stakeholders on new GTM features, tools, and opportunities as they evolve.


Evangelize PlayStation GTM Capabilities



  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on PlayStation's GTM programs, tools, and promotional surfaces.
  • Showcase PlayStation's value proposition and optimal use of GTM levers to enhance title visibility and reach.
  • Through content development, cultivate influence with partners to ensure PlayStation is a preferred destination for launch and lifecycle marketing efforts.
  • Develop scalable, professional presentation materials and comfortable presenting at external and internal events in front of key leaders and executives.


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Be the main point of contact for alignment on marketing deal terms, ensuring GMSBO strategies and goals are consistently positioned as well as secure alignment on resourcing needs for our partnerships. (e.g., proposing ATL/BTL budgets, integrated products, creative collaborations, event and retail support, etc.).
  • Build strong relationships with key internal teams (Content Ventures & Strategic Initiatives, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Store & Services, Content Communications, Regional Teams) to stay current on SIE goals, promotional opportunities and GTM developments.
  • Collaborate with Partner GTM teams to align enablement strategies with account goals and partner maturity levels.
  • Provide strategic leadership and documentation to ensure GTM initiatives align with cross-functional internal teams and their objectives.
  • Help shape internal GTM processes and partner feedback loops to improve scalability and effectiveness of partner support.


Qualifications:



  • 8+ years experience in partner marketing, go-to-market strategy, or similar roles within the gaming, technology, or entertainment industry. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic programs that drive partner engagement and business growth on a global scale.
  • Deep understanding of digital game distribution, platform ecosystems, and content lifecycle marketing. Up-to-date on emerging industry trends.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with a proven ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies. Able to define clear KPIs and measure success of partnership initiatives against business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate vision and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and foster collaboration across globally distributed teams.
  • Proactive, forward-looking mindset with a passion for innovation and partner success. Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement in how PlayStation engages and supports its publishing partners.


Preferred:



  • Experience working directly with game publishers or developers in a media/marketing partnerships, business development, or platform enablement capacity. Familiarity with the dynamics of publisher-platform relationships and an understanding of third-party content lifecycle marketing.
  • A passion for gaming and the interactive entertainment industry. Enthusiasm for PlayStation's products and community.
  • Familiarity with the PlayStation Store, platform promotional systems, or console gaming player journey.
  • Experience working with international or multi-regional teams and markets, adapting strategies to different regions or cultures.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$161,300 $241,900 USD
