As ourSenior Director, Product Management, you'll support HID's successby:
- Managingthe entire product line life cycle, ensuring optimum EAT RFID Standard Reader & Modules positioning
- Scrutinizingthe market, competition, and trends by conducting research, visiting customers and partners, and attending trade shows to align strategy
- Buildingand leadinga team of Product Managers, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning to ensure organizational capability
- Developingand supporting go-to-market plans in partnership with Sales, Product Marketing, and MarComm, while definingand communicatingthe long-term product vision and multi-year strategy, including portfolio rationalization and investment priorities
- Creatingmarket-relevant new products and solutions
- Drivingreuse and economies of scale for products, technologies, and platforms
- Applyingdata-driven methods for prioritizing and planning requirements
- Evangelizingproducts and solutions in partnership with Marketing and Sales Support teams
- Ensuringregulatory compliance and prioritizing product-related risks, including certifications, cybersecurity, IP strategy, and supply chain continuity
- Collaboratingacross Business Units to align strategies, drive technology reuse, and deliver integrated, unified solutions
- Proposingmajor new functionality (Epics) using Lean Portfolio Management processes
- PrioritizingFeatures using SAFe processes with Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, and Business Owners
- CoachingProduct Owners and ensuring acceptance of Stories supporting priority features
- SupportingSAFe Product Owners with story writing and prioritization for designated scrum teams
- Updatingthe roadmap with plans and priorities from LPM and PI Planning
- Owningproduct/solution line profitability (Gross Contribution)
- Participatingin bid processes-costing, pricing, and solution proposals-while acting as Go/No-Go gatekeeper for the Product Line
- SupportingSales with pre-sales activities including specifications, recommendations, white papers, customer visits, and competitive analysis
- Establishingand maintainingexecutive-level relationships with strategic customers to gather intelligence, validate direction, and ensure success; participatingin and initiatingpartner negotiations
- Participatingin required Product Management and BU reporting
- Representingthe company in professional associations and industry events
YourExperienceand Background include:
- Hold a BA or BS in related field. MBA is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years+ of experience in Product Management and Marketing, with 5 years+ in the IoT & RFID industry
- Experience in lean and agile development methodology (ideally SAFe certified)
- Solid leadership and management experience, including strategic thinking, innovation, coaching and mentoring, scaling and collaboration
- Understanding of market and competitive environment including deal activity and potential opportunities.
- Good reasoning ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
- Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively to achieve desired business results.
- Attention to detail, thoroughness, and being able to deal with complexity and ambiguity.
- Good listening skills and must be able to diplomatically deal with difficult situations.
- This role is truly global so the ideal candidate should know and be familiar with mature and more emerging market realities.
