Garver is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Team in our North Little Rock, AR office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of our Project accounting and General Ledger data and efficiency of our accounts payable processes. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a keen eye for accuracy.


Responsibilities of this Accounts Payable Specialist will include but are not limited to:


  • Collaborating with internal departments and external vendors regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Managing all accounts payable activities, including reviewing, coding, and processing invoices, and payment requests in a timely manner.
  • Reconciling vendor statements to ensure accuracy of payments for all invoices and credits are being processed.
  • Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines when faced with multiple/competing tasks while exercising tact, courtesy, and discretion at all levels.
  • Maintain vendor files and documentation in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Assist with preparation of 1099's
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with special projects and provide support during external audits.
  • All other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience (minimum 2-4 years) working in accounts payable or a related finance role.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
