Join us as our new Application Lab Technician

Our Cheese Application Lab Team is part of the global Dairy & Dairy Alternatives Applied R&D group. As a Laboratory Technician, you'll contribute to research, customer support, project development, and quality testing through chemical and biological analyses. You'll also help implement Sensory Excellence programs via sample preparation and program development. In this role you'll make an impact by:

• Planning, designing, and conducting simple to intermediate laboratory experiments autonomously, following established methods with precision.
• Collecting, preparing, and testing samples while meticulously recording observations.
• Ensuring high reliability in experiments, including performing basic calibrations.
• Preparing detailed reports with results and conclusions.
• Preparing samples accurately according to sensory testing protocol.
• Preparing samples and documents required for international shipping and coordinating shipment.
• Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Assisting in the preparation and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and forms.

To succeed you must hold:

• A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Microbiology or Food Science (a degree in Dairy Science is a plus).
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory or related environment (experience with Enzymes, Dairy Cultures and/or Sensory Analysis, is a plus)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) - Experience with SAP and LIMS systems is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking and basic problem-solving skills.

Location: West Allis, WI

Expected Salary Range: $28.75/hr to $32/hr
