Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Stockhandler 2, we have an exciting opportunity for you. What You Will Be Doing Essential Functions
Physically transfers material from one process to another. Picks material from racks, trays and shelves, and prepares them for assembly, sub-assembly, spare part orders or other subsequent processes. Performs various inventory transactions to move, stock, pick, return to stock inventory, adjust inventory, etc. Performs a variety of organizational functions such as counting, weighing packaging etc. according to SOP to prepare materials for subsequent processes. Coordinates and prioritizes materials and item movements from receiving and product drop off areas, sorts and stores on racks, trays and shelves in a predetermined order, i.e. stocking parts and identifies potential issues and helps provide corrective actions. Develops and maintains operating procedures, work instructions and training plans for the stock room. Maintains accurate inventory quantity and traceability on inventory items by using site ERP System. Counts inventory for cycle counting purposes, open/closes cycle count batches and trouble shoots discrepancies and helps provide corrective actions.
Other Functions
Identifies and records non-conformance and stock discrepancies. Records for dispositioning and traceability and contributes to corrective actions. Understands tool and gage management systems as applicable per location. May prepare domestic and international shipments. May be required to be certified and operate powered material handling equipment (e.g. forklift truck, motorized pallet handler, crane) May set up or change stockroom parameters for local site ERP system.
What We Are Looking For Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
3+ years of related work experience within the logistics/warehouse field Expert knowledge of ERP systems (WISE/SAP). Solid understanding of PC's including e-mail. Solid knowledge of the calibration process as applicable per location. Strong communication skills, including basic communication in English. Application of tools used to support continual improvement (Six Sigma) and operational effectiveness. Good understanding of Woodward Lean Enterprise System (WLES) processes. Packaging materials. Tapes adhesives and acetone. Uses labeling and stickers. Weighing and measuring equipment. Computers, phones, Fax machine and other applicable equipment. Uses racks, carts, trays, shelves, and cleaning equipment for picking and stocking. In some plant cleaning parts in preparation for assembly. US: Body strength to lift up to 50 pounds (25kg) regularly, may be required to lift up to 100lbs (50kg) with help. International: According to local law. Outdoor Environment. Physical Environment: Required to bend, reach, stoop, and remain standing for extended periods of time. May be exposed to chemicals.
