What to Expect
Tesla's commercial charging team ensures every Wall Connector for Business is installed correctly, runs reliably, and stays online. Our goal is industry-leading uptime and reliability across every site to drive exceptional customer experience. As a Quality Engineer, you'll help ensure our commercial charging sites across North America meet the highest standards for power, connectivity, and performance. You'll work closely with business development, product, field operations, and installers to set clear standards, solve issues quickly, and continuously improve processes as the program scales.
What You'll Do
- Lead projects that improve installation speed, product performance, and customer experience
- Create and maintain clear standards and checklists for installation quality and validation
- Review and audit host-owned sites to confirm correct power setup, network connection, and charger performance
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for any reliability or performance problems
- Track and report key metrics such as uptime, successful commissioning, and connectivity stability
- Support certified installers and partners through feedback, training updates, and design improvements
- Partner with product and software teams to fix or prevent system-level issues, and utilize various internal diagnostic tools to spot recurring field issues and recommend fixes
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in process or quality engineering, power systems, or connected hardware
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, EV charger setup, and connected device networks
- Proven ability to analyze data and drive quality improvements
- Clear communicator with a proven ability to work well cross-functionally
- Passion for improving EV charging and helping Tesla deliver the most reliable network possible

Expected Compensation
- Technical Construction Project Manager - $90,000 - $135,000/annual salary
- Sr Technical Construction Project Manager - $111,600 - $167,400/annual salary
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
