Industrial Sales Account Manager

This is a great opportunity to launch an exciting career in Industrial Sales. We are looking for a motivated, solutions-driven, and curious individual to learn the QED way of partnering with customers to provide value-added industrial, electrical, and lighting solutions. This position is responsible for providing product knowledge, application solutions, and services to industrial OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), integrators and end users. You will be trained in all of our products and be able to deliver interactive sales presentations that will teach communication skills, negotiation tactics, strategic planning and problem solving. This role will provide you the foundational education and experience needed for all future career growth.

How you will contribute:



  • Lead sales efforts for electrical components, focused on industrial controls, circuit protection, and power distribution solutions (e.g., motor controls, molded case circuit breakers, and disconnect switches).
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets while growing market share.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while growing existing accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Foster strong relationships with engineering, procurement, executive teams, and other key decision makers at customer organizations. Develop a complete understanding of customer's organizational structures and leverage key buying influences to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepares an annual sales forecast for assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth.
  • Prospects and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Coordinates secured customer orders with appropriate staff for order entry, tracking & fulfilment.
  • Follows up on all generated quotations to ensure the customer is being serviced and document the proposed solution.
  • Understands and cultivates knowledge on core industrial products, including appropriate product substitutes.
  • A proactive sales orientated approach, out of the box thinking, accurate and open communication.
  • By understanding the technical and commercial needs, you prepare smart offers that exactly fit to the demands of the customer.



What you bring:



  • Bachelor's Degree required; Engineering preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver's license & good driving history.
  • Strong customer service orientation to provide exceptional customer experience.
  • Industrial customer and market knowledge is a plus.
  • Engage in continuous learning to deepen your technical knowledge in products, services and new developments.
  • Have a proven track record of setting and achieving goals.
  • Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, especially verbally.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including an ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated motivation, willingness to learn and complete quality work.
  • Ability to travel out of state 5-10%
