As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Rounds in Curtis Bay, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond promptly to any concerns or situations that may arise. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.
• Offer visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to staff, students, and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with location staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns.
• Assist in access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
