Shift/Schedule: 7am- 330pm


Team Dynamic and Department: Team of 3-5, working with stakeholders and clients

Related Industry Background:

Travel: just to client sites

Target Start Date: Week of Thanksgiving

Interview Process: Phone Screen, Behavioral with Panel - 2 Step

Type of hire: Contract, 1 year with possibility of extension

  • Oversee the engineering functions related to the Shuntflo Meter Conversion Program & Installation of Telecommunication modem for Steam Pressure Telemetry System:
  • Conducting field visits
  • Ordering material
  • Ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and EH&S requirements;
  • Meeting with Customers to obtain access permission and satisfying their concerns;
  • Coordinating all phases of the project;
  • Working very closely with Construction Management and Steam Distribution personnel and monitoring the activities of an Electrical Contractor during the installation phases of the project;
  • Performing inspections of the completed electrical installation work;
  • Attending weekly progress meeting with Constriction Management, Contractor and Steam Distribution; and
  • Providing weekly status reports of the progress of the meter conversion program.



PERFORMANCE DETAILS

What are the major objective(s) of the role?

  • Steam system in Manhattan, changing out steam meters in all customer sites, comfortable organizing information and spreadsheets, talking with building engineers to arrange surveys and visits, good communication, good temper and experience working with construction folks who have been in company or client sites for many years, building managers, plumbers - wide array of working with different departments within manual labor roles. Troubleshooting, several field visits per week, taking public transportation with someone else from Client to each job site.



What are the MUST HAVE Professional or Technical skills for this position?

1. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel
