Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU should understand the importance of attention to detail and possess high-level critical thinking skills for acutely and critically ill patients.

The core responsibilities in this role are:

  • Monitoring Patients: Continuously assessing vital signs and responding to any changes in condition.

  • Administering Medications: Ensuring accurate dosage and timely administration of treatments.

  • Operating Medical Equipment: Managing ventilators, monitors, and other life-support devices.

  • Collaborating with Healthcare Teams: Working closely with physicians and specialists to develop treatment plans.

  • Providing Emotional Support: Educating and comforting patients and their families during difficult times.

  • Maintaining Patient Records: Keeping detailed documentation of treatments and progress.

  • Responding to Emergencies: Acting swiftly in life-threatening situations, including resuscitation efforts.

  • Adhering to Safety Protocols: Following strict infection control measures to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications:

* Associate Degree in Nursing
* State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
* BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

* 1 year of Telemetry experience Preferred
