The WilmerHale Summer Program will expose you to the breadth of the firm's practice and the range of talents among its lawyers. Our summer program promises challenging assignments, practical training, and opportunities to work and socialize with our lawyers. By providing you with a realistic view of the firm through challenging work, practical training, and the opportunity to work and socialize with many of our lawyers, we are confident that you will be in a position to make an informed decision to join us after graduation or a clerkship.

WilmerHale is currently accepting JD Class of 2028 applications to join our 2027 Summer Associate Program.

You will be paired with mentors who will guide and support you. You will engage in substantive legal work for real clients and gain firsthand exposure by accompanying attorneys to meetings, depositions, hearings, trials, negotiations, and/or closings. In addition, you will benefit from exceptional training and networking opportunities essential to your professional development. These include practice group presentations, interactive workshops, mock trials and deals, and personalized legal writing coaching opportunities.

Eligibility:

The 2L position is open to all full-time, first-year law students who expect to graduate from an ABA-accredited law school in 2028. We seek to hire students whose academic and personal record of achievement demonstrates a commitment to excellence and typically the students we hire are at or near the top of their class.
