Moog is seeking a Programmer/Analyst to join our Military Aircraft Group.

This role offers a first shift, hybrid work schedule based out of East Aurora, NY

As a Programmer/Analyst in the Moog Military Aircraft Group you will be responsible for building metrics, datasets, data pipelines, and reporting that powers our business. Additionally, you will interface with stakeholders in the business and the analysts on our team to understand the business needs and translate them into IT requirements. This exciting opportunity allows you to build solutions that solve problems in business, improve processes, and provide operational excellence.

As a Programmer/Analyst, you will:

  • Develop, modify, and maintain internally developed solutions.

  • Release and support internally developed solutions.

  • Adhere to current Moog development standards and coding best practices.

  • Properly document application lifecycle details by adhering to current documentation best practices.

  • Support the deployment, implementation and support of hardware systems as required.

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve.

  • Coordinate multiple IT functions.

To be Considered for the role, here's what you would typically bring:

  • Typically, A Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline plus a minimum of three years relevant, professional experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, data integration, or reporting tools

  • OR Associates Degree plus Minimum of five years relevant, professional experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, data integration, or reporting tools

  • Excellent written and verbal skills, problem solving, decision making, and communications skills required

  • Ability to be able to work effectively within a team and inspire team members

  • Requires less than 5% Travel

To be successful in this role, candidate will typically possess:

  • Strong skills required, SQL, ETL/ELT, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SSIS, PowerBI

  • Experience working with stakeholders to design solutions (reports/applications)

  • Knowledge in manufacturing

  • Knowledge in Master Data Management

  • Experience in monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis

  • Experience developing applications is a plus

  • Experience working with IoT data is a plus

  • Experience working in an Agile development team is a plus

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$95,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
