This is an onsite position in Hillsboro, OR that will start as a 7 month engagement that could extend up to 18 months.

The Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer role requires the ability to move fast, own projects end-to-end, and deliver production-ready features with minimal oversight. Work spans a modern stack-Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, and MySQL-to ship features that make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities



  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Ruby on Rails.
  • Develop and enhance front-end features using React and TypeScript.
  • Write efficient, maintainable SQL for MySQL databases.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to production.
  • Debug, optimize, and ship code quickly with attention to quality.
  • Collaborate directly with product and design teams to define technical solutions.
  • Ensure code quality through thoughtful reviews and testing.


What You'll Bring



  • 9+ years of professional experience in web development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript
  • 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Deep understanding of MySQL schema design and performance tuning.
  • Proven ability to work independently and deliver results quickly in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
