Job Description




As a Security Professional - Unarmed Hotel Patrol in Lake Buena Vista, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a hotel and resort environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed within the hotel and resort environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the interior and exterior of the property, including guest areas, service corridors, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior, promptly reporting incidents according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with hotel and resort staff to address security-related concerns and support daily operations.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed written reports following Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods as directed by site management.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations, including evacuation procedures and medical emergencies, by following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid security guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
