Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Pekin, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service and communication to everyone on site. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license to support patrol responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to support security-related needs within the location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and/or emergency responders as necessary during incidents or drills.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of observations, incidents, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Follow all company procedures and site instructions to help to deter potential issues and promote a secure environment for all individuals on the premises.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
