Service Center Technician

As a Service Center Technician, you will manage day-to-day activities to ensure the Waltz Mill Water Processing Facility is running efficiently and meets the expectations and needs of Westinghouse customers and staff. You will also assist with the hands-on and administrative aspects of the Waltz Mill Storeroom. Additionally, you will work with the Shipping and Receiving department to ensure the flow of packages is correctly established.

You will report to the Service Center Supervisor and be located at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. This position is required on site 5 days a week.

• Process water through the various systems/filters on site to clean decontamination water rendering it clean while ensuring it meets the WM discharge limits.
• Transfer water from decontamination rooms across the site to the Water Processing Facility.
• Sample, analyze results and batch discharge water to outfall.
• Monitor and pump water from Retired Areas of the site.
• Maintain and update procedures and process flow diagrams when needed.
• Work with management to develop and manage a departmental budget for needed supplies and labor assistance.
• Arrange, store, and retrieve warehouse items and maintain accurate location records in SAP, Microsoft Excel, or other systems.
• Load inventory into specially designed Sea-Land containers to support field services as required.
• Complete physical inventory cycle counts, enter data in SAP, and maintain logs.
• Support production by picking and issuing material to SAP Production Orders.
• Receive incoming packages from various vendors at Shipping and Receiving and ensure that they are properly entered into the system.
• Ensure the dock is neat and organized with the items that are awaiting pick up or to be sent out for delivery.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Experience working in radiologically controlled areas.
• Knowledge of water sampling criteria and analysis.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $27.53 to $40.57 per hour.
