What to Expect
 The Sales Manager on the Solar Roof Channel Sales Team will drive growth by managing and expanding relationships with Tesla's Solar Roof Certified Installers, focusing on both existing and new accounts in the roofing and solar contractor sectors. This role requires a robust background in B2B sales, with expertise in selling value and technology within the solar and roofing markets of the Northeastern and Upper Midwestern United States. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge and a strong network of relationships in the residential solar+storage and roofing sectors, ensuring impactful collaboration with partners and internal teams to enhance Tesla's brand and product reach. 
 
What You'll Do
  - Grow sales of the Solar Roof product, including accessories like Powerwall and Wall Connector, through existing and new Solar Roof Certified Installers, with primary focus on the Northeast territory from New York to Maine and secondary focus on Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Upper Midwest states including Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin
 - Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with installers, engaging business owners, leadership, sales teams, and operations staff
 - Partner with distributor SRS for fulfillment and to identify new business opportunities
 - Collaborate with partners to ensure high-quality installations, exceptional end-customer experiences, and protection of the Tesla brand
 - Leverage strong technical knowledge and existing industry relationships to make an immediate impact from day one
 - Work with Certified Installers and occasionally their end customers to explore new applications of Tesla's Solar Roof ecosystem and develop supporting business cases
 - Understand regional energy markets, utilities, and jurisdictional requirements while collaborating with internal technical, product, policy, legal, and other teams
 
   
 
What You'll Bring
  - Demonstrated experience in developing B2B relationships and closing deals in energy and renewable energy markets
 - Proven record of exceptional success in the roofing or solar/renewable energy industry
 - Self-motivated with the ability to proactively manage and organize a sales pipeline
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - Strong presentation and demonstration capabilities
 - Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
 - Location preference in the Boston, Hartford, or New York areas

Expected Compensation 
$108,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
  Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
