Faculty members have won numerous teaching and scholarly awards, including the Frederick Jackson Turner Award, Fulbright Awards, American Council of Learned Societies Fellowships, Guggenheim Fellowships, a Pulitzer Prize in History, a Bancroft Prize, a MacArthur Foundation "Genius" Award, and many others.
