Security Officer - Bike Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will work at a dynamic education location, conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the educational environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the location to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible presence.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of all incidents and/or activities during the shift.
• Collaborate with campus personnel and local law enforcement as needed during emergency situations or critical events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
