Cirrus Logic Chandler Arizona is seeking an intern candidate for one of our embedded firmware teams. This position is focused on developing bare-metal embedded firmware for ARM Cortex-M processors and automating the build and test process for such firmware. Work hands-on with an experienced team of embedded developers in one Cirrus Logic's growing development sites. This opportunity is available for the summer semester only. It is available only to students currently enrolled in a MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or above, and who will be returning to school for at least one semester following completion of his/her internship. Candidate must be available for full-time employment during the internship.

Responsibilities
  • Develop embedded firmware solutions for ARM Cortex-M solutions.
  • Use Python to automate the processing of building, loading, and testing the embedded solution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and currently enrolled in an M.S. degree program
  • Embedded firmware development experience or course work.
  • Python 3x programming experience
  • Experience developing bare-metal firmware for ARM Cortex-M processors or RISCV processors.
  • Experience with Git
  • Familiarity with CI systems like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Experience using Python to automate software build and test processes.
Cirrus Logic follows a 2+ day in-office work schedule but interns should expect to be in the office more often, up to 5 days per week, based on business needs and team preference. Interns must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning their internship with Cirrus Logic.
Export control restrictions based upon applicable laws and regulations would prohibit candidates who are nationals of certain embargoed countries from working in this position without Cirrus Logic first obtaining an export license. Candidates for this role must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license. We are unable to sponsor or obtain export licenses for this role.
