Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Verisign is seeking aSr. Site Reliability Engineertojoin our Production Operations team. This is a technical position with high visibility and cross-functional responsibility. In this Dev/Ops role, you will lead the design and implementation of the application, which monitors KPIs of flagship products of the company in Production and Capacity, Availability, Performance & Scalability (CAPS) environments, analyze performance trends and provide insights and recommendations. You will act as backup for a REST API based internal database governance platform database application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership:Develop and maintain the application which ingests the performance data and health metrics of the flagship products from various data sources into Postgres DB and uses Grafana/GWT dashboards to visualize and monitor the ingested data. Migrate GWT dashboards to Grafana dashboards.Deploy and manage the application stack including the Postgres DB in Kubernetes.

• Performance Monitoring: Analyze registry performance metrics to ensure SLAs are met.Write complex analytical SQL queries for performance monitoring, trend analysis, and anomaly detection.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and scalable monitoring. Obtain and share knowledge about internal operations applications.

• Documentation: Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations. Providing detailed analysis and explanation of data for senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 12+ years of full stack software development experience.
• Experience Analyzing performance metrics and reporting on findings.
• Experience collaborating with peer groups such as QA, Development and Operations
• Experience documenting work tasks and changes in tools such as Jira, Service Now, Confluence
• Comfortable and able to work directly with developers and other engineering teams
• Experience working in highly productive team environments employing agile practices

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work environment.

The pay range is $164,300 - $222,300.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
