Job Description




As a Security Professional - Manufacturing Site Driver in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a secure operational environment. Your visibility and presence will be key in providing a reassuring atmosphere for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry into designated areas within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Verify credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to uphold site-specific policies and security-related procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with entry procedures and addressing inquiries related to site access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations involving access control in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry and exit points, as well as surrounding areas, to check for irregularities and potential security-related issues.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, visitor logs, and any incidents that occur.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and/or law enforcement during emergency response activities related to access control.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members regarding access-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to provide proof upon request.
  • Applicants must have at least five years of security-related experience.
  • Applicants must have at least two years of experience in law enforcement, military, or corrections, or possess a college degree.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
