Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol Unarmed in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all individuals on site. Your presence and attentive patrols help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible and approachable demeanor. You will be relied upon to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to people-first values, integrity, innovation, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of individuals at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or incidents.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or hazards within the location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with individuals on-site, as well as with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities when necessary.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and helping to maintain order at entry points.
  • Complete all required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner as directed by Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
