As a per diem, nonexempt Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; and procuring drugs. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Location: South Sound Behavioral Hospital in Lacey, WA is a 108-bed psychiatric hospital that provides a full continuum of behavioral and addiction treatment services to patients of all ages-children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. South Sound provides free assessments on a 24/7 basis as well as inpatient and intensive outpatient care

Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays from 8:00am-1:00pm and/or 8 hours every other week on an as needed basis

About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm and Saturday/Sunday from 8:00am-1:00pm and utilizes CPOE, HCS and Omnicell

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Washington Pharmacy Technician license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
