Position Summary/ Department Summary:
Nurse Practitioner Pain Treatment Service

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to provide care to children, adolescents and adults with procedural pain AND chronic pain conditions.
  • Accountability for care of patients including phone triage for patients going home with nerve catheters after surgery.
  • Accountability for care of patients with chronic before and after injections for chronic pain.
  • Working 10-hour days Monday through Fridays. Availability to hire for 25 or 30 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • A master's degree in nursing
Experience:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a pediatric setting, ideally with a pediatric intensive care background
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail; strong verbal and written communication skills, and superb collaborative skills

Licensure/ Certifications:
  • A current MA NP license: Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner
  • BLS and PALS certification
**Sign-on bonus of $3,125.00-3,750.00 for part-time (25-30 hours) APP hires (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.)
