Range Technician

Kratos has an exciting opportunity for a Range Technician who will be responsible for performing all necessary test and integration antenna activities. Time will be split between the Caddo Mills, TX test range and the Plano, TX office.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Mechanical & electrical integration of antennas and RF assemblies
• Conduct test procedures to verify product performance
• Diagnose and resolve product performance problems at installation
• Operate antenna test range for development and production antenna measurements
• Applies electrical, electronic theory and related knowledge, usually under the direction of engineering staff, to build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery
• Implement software changes (Upload, Download & SW Regression Testing) and test new software and hardware
• Must have the ability to read and interpret schematics, assemble wave guide systems, utilize sophisticated test equipment, perform documentation tasks, and interact with management & engineering teams.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
• Actively participate in internal design review and project planning meetings

• Associateis degree or SATCOM work experience required
• Knowledge of RF and microwave communications principles
• Proficient in the use of RF and microwave test equipment (signal generator, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, etc) preferred
• Experience in engineering fabrication techniques and fluent in reading engineering drawings
• Labview or other programming experience desired
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Must be comfortable working outdoors
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift 70+ pounds
• Occasional travel may be necessary
