The impact you'll make

Lam Research is seeking an experienced, Business Operations Analyst to join the Global Workplace Solutions (GWS - facilities) team.

This position will partner with facilities and stakeholder groups across Lam to drive organizational performance goals, OpEx/CapEx forecast discipline, identify and project manage data analysis solutions, and support strategic initiatives. This role will require the use of appropriate analytical models, statistical methods, and accumulation of subject matter expertise.

In this role, you willleverage your negotiation and influencing skills to align stakeholders to goals and drive a focus on data. Resolve conflicts and use your business process acumen to analyze data and present insights and solutions to executive leadership.

What you'll do
  • Performs detailed business analysis, develops and presents insights and solutions for the business function that drive operational excellence (OpEx & CapEx forecast, facility operations).
  • Researches and recommends new technologies or methodologies to improve business operations and competitive advantage.
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis for functional stakeholders as needed.
  • Develops Functional Analytics roadmaps that support the strategic objectives of business function.
  • Participates in the prioritization of projects across the business function.
  • Acts as a functional single point of contact (SPOC) to deliver data analytics roadmap by:
    • Leads solutioning meetings with functional stakeholders.
    • Defines business requirements and prioritizes them based on input from functional stakeholders and leadership team.
    • Translates business needs into written requirements for BA(s) to execute.
    • Manages functional user testing of applications/dashboards/reporting and data quality assurance.
  • Project/Program management of new business system solutions and future change requests to existing systems or data analytics dashboards.
  • Design and implement standard industry practices for development and deployment of data analytics and software applications.
Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or related with 12 years of related experience; or Master's degree with 8 years of experience; or a PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Data Analysis/Data Modeling (Alteryx), Visualization tools (Power BI).
  • Experience in Stakeholder management/requirement gathering/delivery cycle.
  • Fluent in Office 365 and advanced in Excel.
  • Ability to transform complex datasets into clear, compelling visual representations.
  • Experience in project requirements gathering and converting business requirements into analytical & technical specs.
  • Knowledge in performing Root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication & presentation skills, able to communicate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance or direction.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
