Job Function Summary:

Responsible for translating information into a weekly production schedule. Develops planning techniques and helps to lead the plant operations area toward plant and corporate goals. Utilizes information on inventory targets, service level, capacity, and other planning tools to drive toward improved plant performance metrics and the achievement of plant goals.

Job Functions:



  • Prepare and monitor weekly production plan. Manage key projects while balancing core production on the floor. Translating from Customer demand in IBP to the manufacturing floor in SAP. Level load production accounting for installed and demonstrated capacity. Manage key projects while balancing core production on the floor.
  • Maintain key operational metrics, i.e. service level, schedule adherence, backorder, optimal inventory levels, and compliance.
  • Analysis-Use SAP to determine what's being launched. Run reports daily and identify any discrepancies between what the schedule/plan is requiring and what is being launched in production. Investigate these discrepancies and coordinate with manufacturing to resolve any issues.
  • Kanban Management- Conduct reconciliation between what is in SAP and what is physically available, investigate discrepancies, determine if Kanban levels are set correctly.
  • Prepare shop floor paperwork for validations/PPQs etc, launch ZP01, ZP05, ZP08 orders, Ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Represent department in various meetings and projects.
  • Ensure continuous flow of materials to avoid delays, under utilization of machine or manpower or shortages Expedite raw materials as well as finished devices through the inspection and or NCMR process to ensure continuous flow of raw materials or avoid interruptions to customer supply.


  • Work routinely with manufacturing, quality and engineering (projects) to resolve scheduling issues and ensure production is attained. This requires time working on the manufacturing floor, adhering to production work hours and dress code standards.


  • Manage work in process inventory within corporate guidelines.



Required Skills and Abilities:

A minimum 1 year experience in production planning, purchasing, materials management or other related activities is required. Experience in a regulated industry (GMP's and ISO 9000) is ideal.

APICS Certification is preferred.

Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication. The ability to make effective presentations is highly desirable.

Must demonstrate sound judgment, be well organized, take initiative, and be flexible.

Must demonstrate ability to work well under pressure, work effectively with both employees and management and be able to facilitate resolution of common business issues

Previous working knowledge of MRP or equivalent system is required.

Proficiency with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Power Point is required. Prior SAP experience is preferred.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Position requires High School degree or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or other related field and/or combination of education and related experience is preferred.

The base salary for this position is a minimum of $78,400 and a maximum of $85,000 per year.
