Responsibilities

Empower AI is in search on a Quality Assurance Analyst to support the Air National Guard Reserve Order Writing System (AROWS) as part of the Air National Guard Web Tools and Cloud Support Contract. AROWS is a CAC enabled, cloud-based information system that supports Air National Guard operations and training missions. It is used to generate active service and change of station orders; electronically certify duty performance for active service orders; generate group inactive duty drill rosters; electronically certify duty performance for group inactive duty; and electronically certify individual inactive duty performance for all Air National Guard Members located throughout the United States and its territories. Success of the AROWS Program relies on effective and efficient Change Control and Release Management Process. The QA Analyst will perform the following functions:

    Lead execution of Change and Release Management Procedures for major, minor, and emergency releases, including infrastructure updates.
  • Facilitate Change Control Board Meetings and Joint Application Design Sessions.
  • Develop Test Plans, Requirements Traceability Matrices, and Test Scenarios applicable to approved System Change Requests.
  • Conduct Independent Regression and System Acceptance Testing.
  • Facilitate execution of User Acceptance Test procedures with teams consisting of Military and Government Functional Representatives.
  • Develop Release Notes and lead efforts to update AROWS Job Aids in coordination with AROWS Production Releases.
  • Provide oversight of Source Code Migration and Configuration Change Verification activities.
  • Serve as the AROWS Program Management Office (PMO) liaison to the AROWS Development Team.
  • Coordinate update of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accurate reflection of AROWS PMO activities.
  • Maintain the AROWS Internal and Public Facing SharePoint Sites to ensure posted information remains relevant to the AROWS User


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience performing Quality Assurance, System Testing, and Release Management Activities on a moderately complex program.
  • Must be a US Citizen and pass a Government Public Trust Background Check.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Assurance Management, Computer Science, or related field. (May be substituted for relevant work experience).
  • 0 - 5 years of experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience using the principles of Information Technology Service Management (i.e., ITIL) a plus
  • Working Knowledge of JIRA Change Management Software a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Automated Testing Tools a plus.
  • Secret clearance
