| Job Summary 
 
 The Multifamily division of TDIndustries, Inc. performs approximately $50M+ per year in a wide variety of projects. This includes, but is not limited to, apartments, hotels, senior living, and student housing. These can be anywhere from low-rise wood-frame projects, podium/wrap mixed use, as well as concrete high-rise construction. We perform work in the north and central parts of Texas as well as the Denver region of Colorado as well as upcoming expansion into the Phoenix, Arizona region. Produces detailed material and labor estimates for plumbing systems. Produces a conceptual estimate based on available information, historical data, experience and basic known engineering concepts, if plans are not available. Estimates include materials, consumables, incorporated equipment and labor, direct and indirect costs. Essential Duties
 
 
 
 Produces project estimates using prescribed forms, industry-recognized techniques, company processes, and procedures. Prepares proposal letters, scope qualifications, exclusions and final pricings. Assesses final estimates for project compliance, reasonable and complete use of materials, pricing, and total value as compared to similar work to ensure accuracy and completeness. Monitors all addenda, scope changes and bid forms to ensure they are processed and incorporated into the estimate in a timely mannerOffers specialized guidance on vendor selection, meticulously reviews pricing quotes, and assesses vendor proposals for technical complianceReviews project plans and specifications to gain a complete understanding of the project's scope. Assists with scope qualifications, exclusions and final pricings while working with the business development team to finalize proposals. Reviews architectural, structural and civil documents to examine their impact on the mechanical and plumbing scope of workConducts thorough analysis of alternative solutions and construction methods to enhance the competitiveness of bidsReviews "take-off" quantities to ensure accuracy of data used in estimatesCommunicates estimate bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings to ensure understanding of scope of job and critical means and methods of constructionCommunicates all project issues to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Reports issues to customers concerning project specifications, project scope, reports, value engineering possibilities, timelines or other items pertaining to a bidIdentifies, develops, and communicates policies and procedures for continuous improvement, including project cost savings opportunitieserves as subject matter expert and provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced colleaguesOrganizes and maintains estimating project files in a clear and coherent manner while overseeing the department bid databaseMonitors and maintains current technical knowledge of piping, plumbing and sheet metal estimating, installation practices and proceduresAssists with project turnover to project management and fieldConducts and attends interviews and job meetings according to customer and company needs to discuss projectsProvides assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as requiredPerforms other duties as required Minimum Requirements
 
 
 
 A bachelor's degree in construction management, Construction Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred 5-7 years of combined plumbing field experience and/or plumbing estimating experienceDemonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and team membersStrong problem-solving ability and keen attention to detailSolid time-management skills and prioritization skillsAdvanced knowledge of Estimating software Grow Your Career with TDIndustries
